About the client
Beardy is a streamer and content creator broadcasting on Kick. The site is his official base: the games he plays on stream, the announcement of the next broadcast, the community and partner collaborations.
Because the content is intended for adults only, the site was built with a legal layer from day one: an age gate, an affiliate disclosure, sponsored-link marking and help resources.
Challenge
A streamer's audience arrives from Kick and from chat, and needs one place to find the games, the next stream and the partner link. The niche, however, carries legal weight: the site has to keep minors out, state openly that it earns a commission, mark every partner link and point to help resources across several jurisdictions, all while staying fast on phones, where most of the audience is.
Solution
We built the site as a static Astro build. The library has 41 separate game pages, each showing the developer and a label that the game is played on stream, and the home page shows a selection of six. The live page announces the next stream in the creator's timezone, and the partners page opens an enquiry with a pre-filled subject. The legal layer is part of the architecture, not a footer afterthought: an age gate (18+, or 21+ where the law requires) before any content, an affiliate disclosure, every partner link marked as sponsored and routed through the site's own redirect, a responsible gambling page with helplines from several countries, and separate pages for terms, privacy, cookies and the legal notice.
Result
Instead of scattered links, the audience gets one fast hub, and the creator changes a partner link in one place, the redirect, rather than on every page. Because sponsored links all run through a single path, marking and tracking stay consistent, and the legal pages exist from day one rather than being bolted on later.
