Why a website needs maintenance at all
A site that "runs itself" runs fine, until the first problem. The systems websites run on (WordPress, plugins, server software) receive regular security patches; a site that ignores them slowly becomes slow, vulnerable and an easier target for automated attacks than most owners think. Google, meanwhile, measures speed and stability. A neglected site slides down the rankings too.
Maintenance is insurance with concrete substance: updates are done deliberately (with a backup first, so there's no "I updated and everything broke"), copies of the site are stored off the server, and availability is monitored automatically. We often know something is wrong before a single visitor notices. And if the site ever needs fixing, you don't hunt for help from scratch: you already have it.

How much does website maintenance cost per month?
Our plans start at €50 a month for essential technical maintenance (updates, backups, monitoring), Standard starts at €100 a month, and for e-commerce and larger sites the price is agreed by scope. For smaller sites an annual arrangement is possible too.
What if my site wasn't built by you?
Not a problem. We take over sites built anywhere. We start with a health check (a technical mini-audit), propose what needs fixing right away, then continue with a regular plan.
What happens if the site goes down or gets hacked?
That's exactly what backups and monitoring are for: we restore the site from backup, close the hole and tell you what happened. For clients on a maintenance plan such interventions are part of the plan, not an extra bill.
Are content changes included?
In the Standard and Premium plans, yes: a set number of hours a month for text, image or price-list changes and new sections. In the Essential plan changes are billed hourly.
