About the project
Termin grew out of salon everyday life: the phone rings mid-haircut, appointments live in a notebook, and clients give up when they cannot book outside working hours. The app connects both sides: the client picks a salon, service and free slot; the salon gets a filled calendar and automatic reminders.
It was built as a product, not a commission: from UX research with salon owners, through a Flutter app for both platforms, to a backend the salon runs without technical skills.
Challenge
Salons were losing time on phone calls and missed appointments, while clients had no simple way to see availability and book outside working hours. The app had to be effortless for both clients and salon staff.
Solution
We built a Flutter app for iOS and Android with a Node.js backend: category and proximity search, a real-time availability calendar, three-tap booking confirmation and automatic reminders a day before each appointment. Salons get a panel for schedules and client records.
Result
Booking moved from the phone line into the app, reminders halved no-shows, and salons now fill slots even outside working hours, without a single missed call.
