About the client
Sentinel Global LTD is a licensed defence trader based in Belgrade, authorised in Serbia for controlled-goods trade, brokerage and technical assistance. It works exclusively with government and institutional end-users, against a verified End-User Certificate.
The catalogue covers 696 line items across 13 categories and 84 calibres, to NATO and Eastern standards. Given the nature of the business, the site is not a shop window but a documentation tool: specifications are published for procurement review, and the conditions under which a quotation is issued at all are kept in plain sight.
Challenge
The buyer here is not a consumer but a procurement officer at a government institution, and the site has to answer three questions before any contact: whether the seller is licensed to trade controlled goods at all, whether specifications can be taken straight into tender documentation, and what the path to a quotation looks like. A conventional corporate site with about and services sections is no help, because a catalogue of 696 items across 13 categories and 84 calibres has to be searchable, and the terms of business have to be visible before the first product page.
Solution
We built the site as a static Astro build, with no CMS and not a single external JavaScript file: it loads fast, there is no admin to maintain and no moving parts to fail. Catalogue search sits right in the hero, and the catalogue is split into 13 categories with specifications published for procurement review, to NATO and Eastern standards. A separate compliance page states the licence from the Ministry of Internal and Foreign Trade for export, import and brokerage, the rule that quotations are issued only to eligible government and institutional end-users against a verified End-User Certificate, and that counterparties are screened against UN, ATT and EU Common Position criteria. The quotation request asks for exactly what the process needs: line items, quantities, destination and procurement timetable.
Result
A procurement officer can search the catalogue, carry the specification into a tender and see the licensing position before getting in touch, while inquiries arrive in a format from which the quotation scope and required end-user documentation are confirmed immediately. The site is a single static build with structured data about the company, so it stays fast with no maintenance.
