Atlas Analitika.
Atlas Analitika: a website for a foreign-trade intelligence firm. Three service packages, sample reports and a free feasibility check, in Serbian and English.
About the project
Atlas Analitika is our own brand, a foreign-trade intelligence firm that uses customs data to answer who in the world buys a given product, at what prices and through which companies. The database covers more than three billion customs records and over 200 markets.
Because we sell the service ourselves, the site is both our tool and our testing ground: on it we check how an abstract service is explained to people seeing it for the first time, and we bring what we learn back to clients whose sites we build.
Challenge
Customs data analysis is a service a buyer cannot touch before paying for it. An exporter looking for customers abroad usually does not know what a customs record is, what such an analysis costs or what the deliverable looks like, so every inquiry starts by explaining the basics. On top of that, the competition is not other agencies but the databases themselves: the client wonders why they should not buy access and search for buyers on their own.
Solution
We hand-coded the site with no CMS: two stylesheets, one JavaScript file and ten sections that walk the buyer through in the order they actually think. Right below the headline sits a sample customs record, so the visitor literally sees what is read out of the data. Then comes a tool-or-service comparison for those considering their own database access, the five steps of the process, three packages with prices and three reports downloadable as PDFs. The whole site exists in Serbian and English with a full hreflang set, and structured data describes the service, the offers and the frequently asked questions.
Result
Before paying, a visitor sees exactly what they are buying: a sample record, three finished reports and package prices. Inquiries arrive with the product's HS code and target market, so the first reply can be concrete instead of introductory. The free feasibility check stands as the first step, so the conversation does not open with an invoice.
